March Update: Reflecting on Progress and Looking Ahead

The Love Trollinger Initiative (c) 2024. All Rights Reserved.

As March unfolds, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on where we've been and where we're headed with History is Art.com. These monthly check-ins serve as a way to keep you informed about our journey.

Growth and Expansion

Last month was a whirlwind of activity as we launched our YouTube channel, Instagram account, Patreon page, Circle 6 Comics, and published four initial blog posts. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our volunteers and guest contributors for their invaluable contributions. As a site primarily operated by one person, please bear with us as we continue to grow and evolve.

Commitment to Quality and Diversity

Moving forward, our commitment remains steadfast to deliver quality, honest (little to no cursing; no overtly explicit material) blog posts while exploring a wider range of topics. This includes content with a spiritual undertone, such as the practical aspects of following Jesus. While I understand that not all readers may resonate with these themes, as the founder of the Love Trollinger Initiative and the Chief Creative Content Officer of HIA.com, I feel compelled to share Christ as my inspiration and how that aligns with our mission at LTI.  And for content that we deem unsuitable for our "family friendly" label, it will be available for purchase through our exclusive content offerings.  The idea here being that it would be potentially harder for younger audience members to access this material.  We are also committed to letting readers know when a featured artist may have material on their personal platform that may be unsuitable for our younger audience members.

Embracing Creativity

Our identity as creators is deeply rooted in being made in the image of God, making us mini-creators in our own right. I firmly believe that fostering creativity and maintaining a creative practice is essential for our well-being. Research and science support this notion, highlighting the positive impact of creativity on mental health.

Welcoming All Perspectives

I want to emphasize that readers are not obligated to agree with my spiritual and religious beliefs.  As a counselor in training, I believe that I can and should be of service to believers and non-believers alike. My interactions with individuals, both professionally and personally, are guided by principles of love, compassion, and understanding.  Artists are required to contribute family friendly content to this platform; however, their personal platform may contain content that is not suitable for children, or contain content that you may dislike.  The goal with sharing different artists is to acknowledge a variety of people using their creative abilities and sharing their stories in hopes that it may inspire creative thought or action in you, not that they be faithful to your ideology.  You simply do not have to engage with any artists with whom you disagree.

Pursuit of Unity

At the core of our mission is the betterment of mental health through the promotion of creative thought, action, and personal well-being. While our mission is inspired by the work of Jesus, I am committed to fostering unity and understanding among individuals of different beliefs and backgrounds. I envision a world where unity and collaboration transcend religious and secular divides, where individuals come together to serve the greater good of the earth.

Embracing Differences

I acknowledge that there will be varying opinions on my approach, especially concerning the artists we choose to feature. I am open to constructive feedback and correction, but prefer conversations that promote unity and understanding rather than division. I will continue to share my contributions to the body of Christ, creativity, and humanity, with the hope of inspiring others to do the same.  My hope is that through fostering creative thought, we can begin to see how harshly we can treat each other at times.  I hope that through fostering creative action, we can begin to think differently about how we approach our fellow humans despite their convictions--unless they are of a nature that seeks to harm though theft, murder, and destruction for the sake of entertainment or lack of empathy and compassion.

A Vision for the Future

As we embark on this journey, I envision a world where Catholics, Orthodox, and Protestants unite to serve humanity with compassion and love.  Not only that, but a world where religious people are not targeted and called demeaning names--a world where we can respectfully disagree with one another. I advocate for a shift away from religious and secular conflicts toward a collaborative and understanding approach. Love, as the foundation of our interactions, has the power to bridge divides and lead us towards peace and unity.

Moving Forward

March has started on a positive note, and I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. Thank you for being a part of this journey, and I look forward to sharing more with you in the coming months. Be well.
