As humans, the need for creative expression is essential at even the most fundamental level of existence, or more simply put, we create out of need. The need will vary by individual, but from birth, it is why we create. Our first form of creation is sounds, followed by pictures, then we learn to speak and create words. It is from this same frame of mind that The Poetry & Paint Experience was created.

The Poetry & Paint Experience uses the 3 fundamental and essential elements of creation wrapped into 1 expressive movement, or a collection of activities that meld them together to create organic connections and creative experiences for those in attendance. The company was founded on the thought of connecting people through dope interactive and immersive artistic events in order to build community.

The Midweek Mixer is the current active event in the company’s portfolio, but we currently offer 3 other products: 

The Laidback Lounge – A combination that incorporates the communal paint station, the communal poetry station, cell phone scavenger hunt, and a lo-fi DJ set.

Enter Action – A series of games that includes check the rhyme, cell phone scavenger hunt, Scrambled, what’s my color, 3-d puzzle, and improvisational poetry.

The Poetry & Paint Experience Trio – a three-person ensemble that paints, plays/DJs music, and performs poetry.
